Proud Of Our Past, Dedicated To Our Future.
Organized in 1911, the Ho-Ho-Kus Volunteer Fire Department has been proudly serving the Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus, Bergen County, New Jersey and the surrounding communities for nearly 100 years.
Our department protects a predominantly residential population of approximately 4,000 residents in an area just under 2 square miles. The borough is also home to a small industrial park which includes light manufacturing and warehousing as well as a small commercial business district and professional office buildings. Bisecting our town is busy State Highway Route 17 as well as the NJ Transit Railroad main line.
Our membership currently includes over 50 dedicated volunteers from all walks of life. From local, small business owners to borough employees to students and business professionals commuting to nearby NYC, we all share a common goal: providing our residents and neighbors with the most well trained and equiped fire protection and rescue services available.
Department membership is open to anyone over the age of 18 years (16 to 18 years for our Junior Auxillary) and information about joining can be obtained by stopping by Fire Headquarters any Tuesday evening between 7:30 and 9:00 PM.
